STEM Club

11,000.00

20 Sessions

This club will bring science home, by introducing scientific concepts to children with household items and everyday events. Children will grow up as curious individuals, ready to explore the world of science and technology with much confidence and ease.

Topics:

Investigate earth science phenomenon like the water cycle, a rock formation
Children investigate Space science phenomenon like phases of the moon, solar system
Children investigate Physical Science science phenomenon like motion, energy
Children investigate common life science phenomenon like plant life cycle, human body processes
Children understand important features of the process of scientific inquiry.
Children communicate scientific ideas and activities clearly.
Use appropriate terminology when communicating about current technology
Use Digital tools to collect, organize data, self-expression, sharing research and results
Identify and explore online collaboration and communication tools and explore safe, legal, responsible, and ethical ways of using them
Explore how technology has expanded the learning environment beyond the traditional classroom
Develop problem definition, analysis, and solving skills
Explore 2D and 3D shapes based on their properties
Collect, Sort, Classify and describe the objects on the basis of shapes, and other observable properties
Measure, compare, convert events and objects by length, weight, time, volume. Recognize and use appropriate tools for measurement
Collect, represent, infer conclusions, and present data using frequency charts and pictographs. Read represented data including maps
Describe and complete patterns by repetition and manipulation
Identify and create patterns through numerical properties (odd/even), shapes (drawings), shape properties (symmetry, reflection),
Sample Projects
Make a model of the rock cycle
Design a demonstration of space phenomena like the eclipse
Experiment to understand the relationship between mass and speed of an object
Use presentations to communicate current environmental phenomena like global warming
Collect data about wildlife extinction and present conclusions
Make a presentation of the latest development happening in technology

Section 2

Investigate earth science phenomenon like landform formation, effect on climate and weather
Children investigate Space science phenomenon like the evolution of the universe, black hole
Children investigate Physical Science science phenomenon like machines, electricity, light
Children investigate common life science phenomenon like cellular structure, growth, ecosystems
Aware of some current technology that is shaping the world
Use technology to recognize trends and possible outcomes
Use a variety of digital tools to collect, organize data, self & group expression, sharing research and results
Identify and explore online collaboration and communication tools and explore safe, legal, responsible and ethical ways of using them
Use a variety of digital tools to create a product
Explore Design thinking as a way to come up with a solution for a given problem
Construct and compare multiple plausible solutions to a problem based on how well each is likely to meet the criteria and constraints of the problem
Explore the relationship between 3D shapes and their 2D representation
Using variables and generalizations, unknowns
Collect, represent, infer conclusions, and present data using bar graphs, pictographs and frequency charts. Read represented data including maps
Identify and create patterns through numerical properties (odd/even), shapes (drawings), shape properties (symmetry, reflection)
Sample Projects
Make a Weather forecasting system by understanding weather effect, collecting data, and trend analysis
Designing models to explain planetary phenomena like meteor shower
Making a study of the latest advancements in neuroscience and present the same
Make a transformable paper model
Design experiment to measure the impact of sunlight on the rate of growth in plants
Develop a computer program to make a simulation model of the variables that affect the environment
